Adventurers Outpost

Adventures outpost is a new place to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse on Discovery Island at Disney's Animal Kingdom.  Other characters may make an appearance at this new, fun location.

This new location will house many mementos of Mickey and Minnie's adventures like photos and items they take on their journeys i.e. binoculars, suitcases and cameras.  Once you take your photographs you can also get Mickey and Minnie's autograph.

Creating this new area for Mickey and Minnie reportedly is also to make room for an upcoming attraction revolving around James Cameron’s Avatar and the world of Pandora. It is believed that the attraction will take place at the park’s Camp Minnie-Mickey area – the previous home of Mickey and Minnie meet-and-greets. Therefore Mickey and Minnie moved to Discovery Island is likely an early step in dramatically reshaping an entire park area.

Comment Question -
Do you think that moving all of the natural outdoor meet and greet areas to indoor areas will ruin the nature feel of Animal Kingdom  Meet and Greet pictures?

Welcome Princess Merida

On May the 11th 2013 in the Magic Kingdom, Merida from Disney Pixar's Brave was crowned the official 11th Disney Princess.  The ceremony, which was attended by Cinderella, Tiana, Rapunzel, Jasmine, Ariel, Belle, Aurora, Pocahontas and Mulan took place at 9:30 in the Magic Kingdom.  Princess Merida arrived on a horse with a full Scottish procession which included Bagpipe Players, drummers and dancers.  The celebration was introduced by U.S.A Olympic Gold Medallist  Gabby Douglas and her mum(because it was mothers day).  But Gabby was not the only person to be joined on stage.  Queen Elinor made her first theme park appearance to crown her daughter Princess Merida.
